Frequently Asked Questions

We are usually asked about:

Quick Kill Exterminating has been privileged to service thousands of homes and businesses in the Northern suburbs of Chicago since 1990.

Yes.  Quick Kill is licensed and certified by the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Illinois Department of Agriculture.

All of the products our company uses are registered with the United State Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and undergo stringent testing procedures.  The EPA evaluates pesticides to ensure that when they are used according to label directions they pose very low risk to people, non-target species, or the environment. Pesticides must be registered with EPA

The products we use are designed to treat insects which have a different metabolic structure than mammals.  They pose no health hazard to your pets when used according to the label. We recommend any inquisitive pets to be caged or placed in a solitary room to allow our technicians to perform their work efficiently.

Our products are water-based and dry quickly, usually between thirty minutes to an hour, depending on humidity levels.  Once dry, children and pets may safely play outside.

All of our technicians are trained to have the appropriate knowledge and skill to eradicate pest problems from your home in a safe and professional manner.

Our treatments generally consist of applying products to the baseboards of the exterior facing walls in each room.  Removing clutter and small items (not beds, dressers, desks, etc.) a few feet from the walls is helpful to the technicians as it allows them to treat more surface area and work in an efficient manner.

The answer varies depending on the target pest in question.  Our products are designed to start knocking out insects as soon as they come into contact with it.  Depending on the size of the problem, you will notice an improvement over the course of the first few days.  Most issues should see a vast improvement within one to two weeks.  Your technician will be able to give you a more detailed answer when he has inspected and treated your home.

Yes. We offer trapping services for ground animals such as chipmunks, opossums, and skunks.
